I can't say I've had any sours from WW that I didn't enjoy. This American sour ale is no different. It is fermented with black currant and laid to rest in cabernet barrels. At 7.6% it's not boozy, but has a solid abv. It is a dark amber with thick tan foam. With a medium body and medium to heavy carbonation it has a creamy mouthfeel. While it has a bit of tartness I think it'd be great for a sort of gateway funky beer as it isn't overwhelmingly tart. There is quite a bit of currant flavor with some vanilla and a bit of oak from the barrels. Overall, it is a very nicely done sour with moderate tartness, lots of fruit and some oak and vanilla to round it out.
