Appalachian Mountain Brewery Spoaty-Oaty

March 9, 2017

I can be hard pressed to find pale ales that I like. They always seem to be missing something, hops, body, flavor. Still, I continue to try them because I want to find more that I enjoy. You know because there are times that I want to should drink a beer less than 6%. Spoaty-Oaty is a 5.4% pale from AMB that goes beyond having a bit of flavor to it, it has actual hops. It pours a light gold with off white foam and smells of hops and citrus. This pale has medium carbonation and body to it due to the oats. With the hop forward taste it balances the hoppyness of an IPA with the easy drinking of a pale. AMB also distributes in 16oz cans so it is perfect for traveling. I will definitely be drinking quite a few of these on these on the beach this summer.  I also love to support breweries that support the community. AMB’s focuses are sustainable business practices and support of non-profits so you can feel good when you’re drinking one of their beers.
